Sarah Woods leads the coaching and consulting team at Bates, a global firm that helps leaders drive business success through executive presence and communicative leadership. In her current role, Sarah oversees the consulting and business development teams for Bates across all industries and locations. She is a member of the firm’s Executive Leadership Team, providing strategic direction for the firm and identifying pathways towards business growth. A dynamic keynote speaker and thought leader, Sarah has been quoted in dozens of publications including The Washington Post, The Boston Globe, The Chicago Tribune, Business Review USA and The Standard.
Meghan McGrath is the Director of Marketing for Bates, where she executes the firm's strategic marketing and public relations initiatives. She leads the firm's web strategy, content marketing, event marketing, speaking engagements, social media, video strategy, and branding. She is passionate about generational studies and multi-generational interactions and communication in the workplace. Meghan is responsible for oversight of the firms blogging and much of the content development and content branding.
Meghan joined the firm in 2012 after graduating from Fairfield University with a BA in English, Journalism and Philosophy.
Elizabeth Freedman, is a Principal at Bates who advises and coaches executives on developing strategies to gain global influence and credibility, build strong stakeholder relationships, and motivate their employees and teams to deliver business results through outstanding leadership and communication. Through her consultative approach, and backed by rigorous evaluation, she helps C-suite leaders and senior leadership teams at over 20% of the Fortune 500, and has worked with leaders holding a broad range of C-Suite functional and business roles.
Her work includes a deep assessment of performance and communication gaps, team discussion to define vision and strategic objectives, and individual “on your feet” coaching time to create a strong approach that builds and sustains momentum for business initiatives. She is a certified Bates ExPI™ feedback provider. The Bates ExPI™ (Bates Executive Presence Index™) is the first and only research-based, scientifically validated assessment to measure executive presence.Before joining Bates, Elizabeth worked at the consulting firms Accenture and marchFIRST. She is the author of Work 101: Learning the Ropes of the Workplace without Hanging Yourself (Random House). Her expertise on leadership has appeared in dozens of publications, including The New York Times and U.S. News & World Report, and The Boston Globe.
Meredith Courtney is a Marketing Projects Consultant at Bates, working with the marketing team on key projects, including conference speaking, public relations, and collateral and website projects. She joined the firm in 2005 and launched her career by driving the marketing efforts around CEO Suzanne Bates' first book, Speak Like a CEO, which went to #6 on amazon.com's bestseller list.
Chris Goodnow is a Marketing Associate for Bates. He joined the firm in 2016 after graduating from Framingham State University with a BS in Marketing. Chris helps execute strategic marketing and public relations initiatives including the firm's web strategy, content marketing, event marketing, speaking engagements, social media, and branding.
David Atkins is a Research Associate at Bates. He began working with the firm after he graduated from Amherst College in 2017 with a BA in Economics and Psychology. There, his senior thesis in Psychology focused on topics in organizations with diverse workgroups. David works to identify, analyze, and describe patterns in data collected from the Bates ExPI worldwide.
Gisèle, the Director of Administration and Project Management for Bates, has primary responsibility for the development and execution of project plans related to large multi-service client engagements. Gisele, a Professional Certified Coach, is also certified in the Hogan Assessment Inventory, MBTI and Lominger 360 Assessment.
