Binwa Sethi, Consultant and Coach
Binwa is an expert and thought leader in fostering inclusive and global cultures and brings this expertise to her consulting and coaching practice to enable leaders and teams to engage and inspire their organizations. Binwa’s diverse career includes consulting with business leaders on talent strategy, leading talent management, and executive coaching for senior leaders. She has presented her research on Building Cross-Cultural Competence in Global Leaders at several global conferences, including the 1st International Columbia Coaching Program Conference. Having grown up in India, and then living and working in the US, Binwa is passionate about leveraging differences to create inclusive cultures. Binwa’s global perspective comes from managing talent organizations in over 20 countries across North America, Latin America, Europe, the Middle East, Africa, and Asia.
Her corporate and consulting experience spans multiple industries with several global organizations: ADP, PepsiCo, Ingersoll-Rand, and Johnson & Johnson.
Building Inclusive Cultures: Binwa recently led a qualitative research study on employees and their feeling of belonging during these unprecedented times of global pandemic, remote working, and systemic racial inequities. This research uncovered two focus areas: Factors that impact workplace belonging, and strategies to accelerate inclusion and talent practices to create more inclusive cultures. The research demonstrates actionable paths for organizations, leaders, and teams to enhance inclusion as well as strategies to augment talent management processes and practices that accelerate the Diversity, Equity & Inclusion agenda.
Building Cross-Cultural Competence in Global Leaders: Binwa co-led internal qualitative research within an organization and interviewed 50 global leaders to better understand the challenges of working across time-zones and national cultures. The findings of the research shaped the framework to build cross-cultural competence to deploy a global culture within the organization. Binwa has presented her research at several global conferences and led virtual sessions in Singapore, Shanghai, and Hong Kong.
Talent Management Consulting: Binwa has developed talent assessment and talent development solutions to accelerate readiness of key talent to drive transformation for the organization. Additionally, she has also developed scalable solutions to deliver a consistent culture and build leadership capabilities such as global mindset, inclusion, and feedback and coaching to accelerate performance, inclusion, and engagement for all employees.
Executive Coaching: Binwa partners with executives to accelerate their leadership journey to successfully transition into a new role, develop in their current role, and advance to broader roles. Binwa approaches coaching as a learning and change process.
Expertise and Credentials
Binwa completed a graduate-level certification in Organizational and Executive Coaching from Columbia University. She pursued a Fellows Program at the Summer Institute for Intercultural Communications and a development program at the Gestalt Center for Organization and Systems Development. Binwa currently sits on the Board of Directors of Worldwide ERC and Advisory Board of World Trade Resource.
