Steve Toomey, Executive Advisor and Coach

Steve Toomey is an Executive Advisor and Coach, and Executive Vice President at BTS. In his work coaching and advising executives, he brings together his deep experience in executive leadership roles with extensive experience advising and consulting to help his clients accelerate their performance and deliver results.

Steve has over thirty years of experience as a business leader, most recently in leadership roles at BTS. Considered a builder, he has played increasing roles in opening new offices, serving as Head of Office, and developing talent in the Connecticut, San Francisco & Chicago offices. Globally, BTS leaders seek his mentorship skills. In his office leadership roles, Steve has been responsible for developing revenue and talent pipelines and executing on all business priorities. Globally he supports enterprise level initiatives to ensure the company delivers on growth and shareholder objectives.

As one of 12 Global Partners at BTS, Steve leads major client relationships and strategic engagements with Fortune 500 companies to ensure clients deliver on their strategic priorities. He partners with and advises clients to align and drive execution of strategic agendas, break down silos, sharpen customer understanding, and harness the power of the enterprise to drive value across all stakeholders. With his help his clients have delivered on revenue growth, market share gain, competitive advantage and shareholder results.

Prior to BTS, Mr. Toomey was an investment banker in the high yield debt markets. Prior to receiving his MBA, Mr. Toomey worked as an Account Executive in the hospitality and computer industries and built and operated a wholesale clothing business.

Steve is certified in the Bates ExPI^™ (Bates Executive Presence Index™), the first and only research-based, scientifically validated assessment to measure executive presence. The Bates ExPI^™ has been used to define leader behaviors that can drive innovation, company growth and successful transformation.

Steve holds an MBA from New York University Leonard N. Stern School of Business, and a BS from Santa Clara University.
