Walter Jackson brings over 25 years of experience and expertise in management psychology, executive coaching, and leadership to his role as a Consultant and Executive Coach. Through his work with executives and developing leaders one on one, and through leadership development programs and experiences, Walter enables leaders to engage and inspire their teams and influence important stakeholders. As Director of Global Services, he promotes the development and support of our network of Certified Practitioners around the globe, enabling them to create impact with the leaders they coach and support.

Walter has worked with a wide range of organizations from startups to Fortune 100 companies over a variety of industries from financial services to media, biotech, and manufacturing. His experiences as an entrepreneur and senior executive in Fortune 500 companies provide him with a unique perspective on developing collaborative relationships with senior leaders and helping them to achieve their business objectives.

Results Achieved

Walter’s experience as an executive in Fortune 500 companies includes serving as Vice President, Talent Management & Strategic Staffing for The Hartford Financial Services Group, where he oversaw the development of an enterprise-wide, integrated talent management and leadership development system that supported an evolving new business strategy. As Corporate Vice President of Executive Development at Cablevision, he partnered with the CEO and senior leadership team to design and implement new organization and talent management systems that supported a major strategic transformation that included the reorganization of existing businesses and the acquisition and integration of new businesses.  

Expertise and Credentials

As an entrepreneur, he was co-founder and Chief Operating Officer of US operations for Saville & Holdsworth, Ltd., (SHL, now CEB), helping to grow the US business and prepare the firm to go public in the UK. Walter was also co-founder and EVP of Navient, a startup talent management software and consulting firm.

He has served as a member of The Conference Board’s advisory panel on Talent Management and as a speaker at professional meetings with The Conference Board, Society of Industrial and Organizational Psychology, and the Northeast Human Resources Association. Walter is a licensed psychologist who received his Ph.D. from Boston College, his Master’s degree from Columbia University, and his Bachelor of Arts degree from Bates College.
